Muscles don't ache after a workout

I have been pushing myself. Usually use weights/machines until I cannot physically do anymore. I have recently restarted the gym after a few months of not going - after the first couple of days I ached a bit, but not anymore. My muscles just don't ache after a workout.

Does this mean that the workout was worthless? What am I doing wrong?
