I've seen the music video Otherside of The Game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qpyDUfMq-8 and thought at 6:25 you see her real hair - alas, in dreadlocks. And in The Cider House Rules, she had a large afro, which seemed hard to pull off as simply extensions or a wig.

It's been known she uses wigs since around 2000, but has she ever had real long hair? If so, were they dreadlocks, as the end of that music video has us believe?
