Ok so basically for the first couple of weeks I was miserable because I find it hard to make friends and I felt left out of stuff.But now I'm thinking it doesn't matter too much. I love my course - love it to pieces - and I'm not going to become an insane isolated crazy cat-lady, because I do go to societies and discuss things in seminars and have acquaintances etc etc. Really I work best with small doses of socialisation anyway. I think the main problem was that I was told that uni students are expected to make lots of friends and go out a lot (and I feel pressure quite badly). Now I don't like going out too much and alcohol makes me pretty dumb - something that bothers me - and for a while I was going out drinking anyway.
Now I'm just thinking - be myself, do what I enjoy, get on with the course, obviously be friendly but if I don't have friends maybe I can live with that.
Is this the right way to go, or should I still be trying to meet people and make friends? A big problem is thinking about accommodation for next year, I don't have anyone who would be happy to live with me yet. :/
EDIT: Oh, I do enjoy company and having people to confide in. Back home I had loads of friends and loved them all and they gave me really good support and I had fun with them. But it doesn't look like that's gonna happen anytime soon here...

You're a bit like me. I have friends, I am very comfortable and enjoy myself in social situations, but I don't have any need to have company. Truth be told, I don't care about my friends too much either. -Antisocial. Sometimes kinda asocial, but... Not always.
-Shy. I'm an introvert and I'm usually the loudest.
-Submissive. Some can't be bothered to speak up and waste energy talking to someone to get what they want, it's not the same thing.
-Emotionless. It's on a different set of scales than being a 'thinker' or a 'feeler'.
-Socially awkward. Some just don't care what you think.
Introverts do need:
-Contact. They're just more selective. Rather than make ten friends by pretending, she or he will make three close friends, often quickly.
-Conversations. Introverts typically prefer deep conversations and very often dislike small talk - but plenty of introverts learn to handle small-talk.
-Friends. Confidants, people to share interests. Just not loads. 'Quality not quantity'. Honesty comes into it.
Introverts aren't shut ins. They don't always hate people. They're human. They feel. They just get tired out by talking to other people. They rely on themselves. They get overstimulated more easily then extroverts and need time to switch off.
It's a very, very common thing, but society prefers extroverts. It doesn't make you weird or abnormal or mean. It means you are more comfortable and calm by yourself. You can enjoy conversation but ultimately, you will retreat to process that alone. That's the difference. You can look this up. It's not actually about social interaction at all, it's about interaction with the world at large which, in general, involves people.
Are you tired out by going outside and meeting people? Even if you enjoy yourself? Normal - introvert.
Introverts should work on tolerating company. You seem to have that one down.
Does it energise you and you feel bored when you're alone? Extrovert.
Extroverts need to work on occupying themselves without relying on others.
Pretty basic way of defining it there. You can be loud, garrulous, opinionated, assertive, friendly and... still need to retreat to find some time to think it over, making you an introvert.

Can I enjoy with friends, what is that?
For some reason I find it very difficult to do work me something like go out with friends, hobbies, etc. enjoy.
I've had to do, because I lost my work due to the recession not over summer and could not find another. If this has nothing to do a year ago I had an end of the relationship. He also no money did not help.
I not only enjoy, me for example if in the with friends, I have too many thoughts goes to enjoy it and in the now worried that in the seem going to be when I make to the University and no friends, and the effects of my work.
Can anyone help, or have practical things that I could try?

4 Months begging and good friends (;)

So I my stomach for a long time have done almost a year in fact I finally the courage, my mother questions, as you can imagine, first was the answer "No!" I spent a whole 4months begging and pleading, and come with excuses to justify as "but mother, it's better than a tattoo, I can take it out and no scars left!" & "if I decide I want it not a day, can I only they take out and it's OK ():" the answer wasn't still so I have my friend mothers, you to talk about, and my mother was finally killed. Initially the plan was it done for my 15th birthday, but we were get in the middle of the move house, and I knew a place where my friends been and had good reports, so we went a whole month before my 15th (: how the weeks after I knew I would get it done it was pure tension, when I arrived was pure NervenMeine piercer went through the aftercare & piercing information and my papers mum is signed), the piercer marked the point on a purple pen and after reviewing I it he asked me, set, previously I had asked all the people in the parlour tattoo does it hurt the Pircer then said to me, "Let's go there on this WeiseEs gonna hurt and it will hurt like hell, then, if it be not you his" so I wrapped my arms around the base of the Bank and a small pinch of the BRACKET "" It was done. I love it!! I all the girls recommend it, or if you want it for that matter made... The tiny little pain is value it, and it looks so nice!

Friends I the right choice?

I have a friend who has pierced her belly button. It looks really sweet especially with her swimsuit. She kept me say that I need to have done me, that I would love it. In September, I was in a nearby city that actually had a business, the piercing action. I decided to go and check it out. The man had been for over two decades in the business. I was pretty confident, that it is done. Don't get me not Wrong…my knees were shaking so Badly…I am sure that he heard it Knocking…lol. My son went with me and kept telling, that would violate it and I don't have to do it. Not my best choice in picking a Cheerleader…lol. My friend said that it not Hurt…she song. I sucked so hard that up to about an inch my Head…geez should have sucked my hair, which is two-meter long about all air. To top it off, I almost passed out, but felt better when the piercer said to me after a piercing, a great guy had passed out and fell to Him…lol. Anyway, everything was my tires good until I in for a ring I changed Ound at a local chain Outlet…was probably to stainless steel Steel…turned me green and in the midst of a severe infection. So beware what you buy. I found a titanium ring and a significant improvement in a few days saw. I am two of the piercing is still in phase and have found that the salt solution such as H2Ocean is a great help in the healing process. Now my belly button is still back to cute and I buy from this site. It saved my belly button piercing, as I was about to give up. Thank you very much

When are friends strangers

The next day got I a call from my friend say that Bobby, their mothers had left home at 9 in the morning and her mother hadn't; t is one of her 12 hours and booby was not answer their calls from phone to phone or Texte.Dies Thae went for three days police were called and pursued their mobile signal, but if found that she wanted nothing to do with their family or friends who knew her since kindergarten.You want someone to your contact and nothing to with us to do.All we know is in a specific city to North bout 200 miles away with some random guy she has met on the Internet.
We have known her for Yonks granted, she had her moments of being a moody so and so, but we up to it our friend put with it it links with no ex plan nation and acted as if everything were normal on the eve of the meal was (it was missing the next day)
We have nothing to her only her friend all sorts of things by our heads went when she was missing as she took no money no clothes are only herself.It has hurt us much!

Really, there isn't much you can 
. Do you know where it is actually? Perhaps can you take a look at their computer and try and where it is so that you could go and they confront track? It can be not just on their family...
