The attack on the Sun Web site is in line with the LulzSec "Hacktivism" ethos. Although it claims to do what it does, for laughs, the Group has a point, usually make.

Phone bill! : o

Phone bill! : o

So I am on o2 and £ 10 (300 minutes, unlimited text) is my normal telephone bill. In June I went way beyond my limits and the Bill came up to £ 73.66! :cry2: My father will pay for my phone, because I was young, when this contract he got for me and pay it by bank transfer.

I have not told him about the Bill... There is, however, where I could be an option for my phone bill (with surcharge), which pay online with a debit card. I wonder whether I would show it to my fathers direct debit do this?

Thank you very much. (Brickin!)

Dear Dish-It,

My parents won’t let me have a cell phone. I am 11 years old and everyone I know has one. They always say "the time will come" but it seems like it never will. Please help me.

girl who wants a cell phone

Dear girl who wants a cell phone,

If your parents are absolutely against you getting a cell phone, chances are you’re not going to be able to convince them otherwise. But that doesn’t mean you can’t try to change their minds – as long as you do it in a very adult, mature way. Here are some things you can try.

Having a cell phone isn’t all about texting your friends constantly and running up high bills. Lots of people carry a phone for safety. Maybe if you talk to your mom and dad about cell phones from that perspective they will change their minds.

Don't burst in to a room and yell, "Mom, I like need a cell phone now! Everyone has one!" Plan out your conversation for a few minutes by yourself before you talk to your parents. Explain to them why you should get a cell phone in a calm and mature way.

Some parents are more likely to spring for cell phone plans that eliminate the risk of running up a high bill. Research some prepaid phone plans like Virgin Mobile, Kajeet or Tracfone. They may not be the coolest or nicest phones, but, hey, isn't it better than not having a phone?

Offer to pay for the phone or part of the bill. This will most likely make them realize that you are mature and responsible and that they made the right choice.

Take very good care of your phone if you get it, even if it isn't the most expensive or cool phone ever. If you aren't careful, you could end back where you started, and your parents will see that you weren't mature enough for the responsibility if you lose your phone or break it.

Respect your parents' decisions and restrictions when it comes to texting, etc.

Offer to do more things for your parents: chores, eating whatever they serve for dinner, practicing an instrument that you don't practice enough – just think of things your parents want from you that you don't give them.

Try asking for one for your birthday or Christmas.

Try getting a friend who has a cell phone to help you explain to your parents why they’re useful or why it’s good for kids to have one.

Stay calm and don't beg, whine, or remind them every day about how BADLY you want one. That will only make your parents think you are not responsible enough to have a cell phone. Instead, gently state your good reasons.

Interview at 3store as a phone salesman

Interview at 3store as a phone salesman

Hi all

I did an interview on my local 3 store and just looking for some general advice? What should I expect to do, be made in this interview? Of who has experience working in a phone shop - how is the job?

I'm also way for about 4 weeks after the interview, however, that is the amount of the note, that I must give my current employer. This would affect my chances in any way?

All help appreciated, thanks

So, now that all this phone hacker stuff is coming out, takes this video on a whole new meaning. You defended the journalists to the point of being moronic. It is an absolute blind refusal to accept that something could be wrong. At one point she says "Only your PIN change", she seems to believe that it is OK to hack if you can manage. Both Andy Coulson and Rebekah Brooks are mentioned at the end of the video.

Here are some of their other gems:

Time to upgrade to phone

Time to upgrade to phone

Currently has the milestone, love it, only problem is the battery life and it sometimes crashes and restarts itself, but meh. Got a call from some nice... anyway, I am guy of orange or orange section Carphonewarehouse what upgrade, say. Now that the current cell phone market, I am me deliberately for a decent phone given I on a 24 month contract am, so that, if I'm gonna s with this phone for 2 years I must know, it's the best and right-to-use phone for me.

So, here is my wishes:

Screen (touchscreen - likely)
-Proper QWERTY keyboard would be nice to touch-screen-SMS can be annoying
-Good battery life. I am sick that charge my phone, every night since I probably spend only 4 or 5 days that week with me, ill take to my charger
-Large amounts of memory would be nice to store movies and tv shows, and this of course refers to battery - I want not to see a movie on it and then have no links, battery defeats the point almost.
-£ 30 or less / month, unlimited texts

iPhone 4 would my phone of choice, but it's also damn expensive. £ 30 per month and your look at £ 300 for the phone: /.

Had my eye on the Nokia-E7, looks pretty badass, seems to have good information. Also saw the milestone the milestone 2, which could be also an obvious choice, as I currently have and love.

So, TSR techno geeks give me your 2 cents...
