As in the title, which of the two would offer better job prospects? I like both pretty much equally, so wouldn't mind doing either.

Cheers!

Mac: Software compatibility?

Mac: Software compatibility?

There are several academic software that you encounter during the different levels of studies can have.
I am concerned, if such software when running on Mac, considering that these are are less common and possibly no Mac version.

Any of you have faced issues?

I am thinking of a new laptop purchase, before I choose my PhD. between a Mac Pro and ThinkPad start (although Dell may be in the race).

Right now trying to understand the compatibility issues with a less popular operating system.

Help appreciated

MSc software engineering-consulting

MSc software engineering-consulting

Hi all

I would like some advice from persons completed a software engineering masters degree. I have applied to some unis for this course and I would love to hear about some personal experience.

Basically, I would like to know whether the theoretical knowledge from a computer-science-St can successfully with this type of course must have. The algorithms make a difference really to your level of understanding? I come from a non computer science background, but I have covered modules OOP with Java and some C programming during my St.

My other question is beneficial, career wise, a computer-science conversion rate instead of software engineering at Masters level would pursue? Has anyone here completed the conversion course? What was it like? What master I would more mileage of get when I pursue a career as a software developer? Conversion of computer science or software engineering?

Thank you for the time taking to read this and I hope your reviews are informative.
