Discussion for A-Level students, including those studying VCEs and for those choosing their A-Level subjects. Old 56 Minutes Ago: 14th October 2011 22:35 Zoeh-h +1 So I'm thinking about doing a course on Management Accounting; I'm not sure what I need for my A-levels though, but I know that this is what I want to do in Uni.

I'm thinking about doing:
- Maths
- Economics
- Accounts (dropping this in A2)

Are these subjects okay? What other subject would you recommend? :/
I've searched around and people have said that Physics or a science would be preferable but I dislike science with a passion :/ so I don't know what to do. Would taking a science subject help? Or am I just wasting my time?

Thanks!

Hey I'm looking to apply for Psychology with Statistics at uni. I adore statistics, but only 2 places do this joint degree, so I was looking at Psychology with Maths. See, I'm great at stats, but with the core maths we do at the moment it takes a while for me to get it (predicted an A though ) and apparently there's a lot of proofs in uni courses, which I hate Thing is, statistics will still have some proper maths modules in so I'm a bit stuck on whether I should bother applying for the joint course or abandon maths altogether and just go with psychology. But I really want to do statistics with it. And I do like the core maths we do, I'm just really not confident enough to think that I'll be able to work at university pace. But I don't know, if I work at it I might.

Ahh I'm starting to babble and not make sense, sorry

So my basic question - how much harder is maths (stats in particular) at uni?

Thanks!

Only AAA at A-level... Disadvantage of dentistry?

Only AAA at A-level... Disadvantage of dentistry?

University course discussion for dentistry. Old 43 Minutes ago: 24 August 2011 00: 21 Re: only AAA at A-level... Disadvantage for dentistry? It depends on where you apply.

Birmingham and a few others want A * and could reject, just because you simply don't have. It is so competitive that a girl with 4 rejected A * the; -This was medicine, but I am sure that they are similar?

But I'm sure there are many others who bring you with AAA (assuming you have a very good PS / some kind of experience).

* I am not planned on the medicine/dentistry study, so that I could be wrong.

Old5 Minutes ago: 24 August 2011 00: 59 Re: only AAA at A-level... Disadvantage for dentistry? No University has their entry requirements for everything that increases of AAA. You have your notes and as such, you are better than anyone predicted class AAA or A * A * A *.

Your question is perfectly valid, someone what else still not for dentistry (or medical) applied.
