Secondly, how difficult is it for Exchange students, to make friends? literally, I have no idea who is and was just curious!

Advice / need some help I was born in Hong Kong, so I hope I can have a little advice I think type.Love Hong Kong, it is a life-time experience a really large one-time. Getting on with people at all no problem, and most are people in Hong Kong, to speak English. You can just say, it's like Chinese, but most of the places are sure that the mother tongue is Quebec, in English and pretty much speaks perfectly great English almost everyone in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is very international, I have many friends there, the European / Canadian who was the secondary school and made many friends and some of them speak not Chinese, so I'm sure that you get on fine.
Transport in Hong Kong is extremely decent unlike in the United Kingdom, so that delays with the buses or trains there fear not. The food is great, try out the Dim sum you will miss it otherwise
I hope you enjoy your stay in Hong Kong. Good luck!
