I just am after some advice really. I've been with my Spanish fiancée for over 5 years now, after meeting online on Match back in February 2006 (we met each other in person in April of that year) and then got engaged in December 2006. She lives in Barcelona and I live here in England (although I have spent 2 years (not consecutive) studying in Spain; once as part of my degree (Erasmus) in Cádiz and then did my MA in Barcelona, so got to see her most days and every weekend) Things have been going very well and I would still say they are now, but at the start of this year I started thinking about what it would be like to be with an English girl. I have no idea why this feeling came upon me, but it did, and I ended up subscribe to Loveandfriends. I did this and wrote a few messages to some girls on there and one came back to me (she lived locally) and said that I sounded like a lovely guy and would like to meet with me. We talked on MSN that night and things were going really well and she said that despite having a really bad cold (she said it was the flu but very much doubt it was tbh) she wanted to meet with me the next day so we could get to know each other better. Then reality got the better of me and just as I was thinking about going to meet this girl at this pub near where she lived, my fiancée rang and I couldn't lie to her. This other girl was on the phone at the same time as she'd agreed to ring me, told her to hold on, then she hang up, and ended up saying to my fiancée that she was the one for me. This girl then said if I wanted to be with my fiancée that was my decision. Then I sent her a few texts because I felt I wasn't sure and wanted to give it a try with her, but she said I'd had my chance and asked me to stop contacting her, so I did. Then a few months later went on another website and got talking to another girl who I eventually ended up getting the phone number off and we used to talk at night some nights. Me and my fiancée were about to go to Paris (we were in a hotel in London at the time) and this girl wouldn't stop ringing me. My fiancée eventually picked it up after I told her everything (I told this girl I loved her as did she me) and said to her: 'I'm his fiancée' and this girl said: 'well why is he signing up to dating websites wanting to be with other girls if he's not single?' and left it at then. As it was clear she wasn't going to stop ringing me until I answered her (she told my fiancée to go back to Spain and find a 'decent bloke' on this voicemail she left me), I got a new SIM card and didn't give her my number. Since then there has been one girl at a local hospital radio station I go too who I've kind of liked but then realised there was nothing to it, but still worry about the future, as my fiancée doesn't want to come and live here in England and wants me to go to Spain.

If anyone could give me any advice, I wold be very grateful.

So I bought some suede desert boots...right as our ****ty weather hit. I've sprayed them with the usual protection spray but with our rainy weather I'm too scared to wear them incase they get wrecked.

Should I keep them hidden away? Should I trade them in for a leather pair?

For questions and advice about dating, love and committed relationships. Health and Relationships forum guidelinesOld 51 Minutes Ago: 14th October 2011 22:39 Anonymous 0   Abusive relationship, can't get past it. Advice? I'm 21, been with my bf for 4 years. 3 of which we've been emotionally abusive to each other, and he's been physically abusive to me. He's tried to strangle me, bashed my head into walls, etc. It's not nice.

But I just can't get away. He's not like that all the time and he doesn't just go for me out of the blue, I've usually said something or been in a temper, or tried to walk off first. When he's nice he's really nice, we think on the same wavelength and I just don't notice other men at all, and haven't for the entire relationship, even though I get my share of interest.

I have tried to ditch him, but when he knows I'm in one of 'those moods' he won't meet me, and if I text him to say it's over he ignores the text. Eventually I go back on what I said and get a reply like 'what a surprise'. I don't know why I keep going back on it!

Part of me wants to never see him again, part of me wants to see him right now. I just don't know what to do. A select few of my friends know about this but they can't empathise, all they can say is that I need to find the strength to break away. I doubt anyone can give any better advice, but anyone with a similar experience might be able to help.

He's not like that all the time and he doesn't just go for me out of the blue, I've usually said something or been in a temper, or tried to walk off first. That's no justification for bashing your head into walls or strangling you.. Stop blaming yourself. When he's nice he's really nice, we think on the same wavelength and I just don't notice other men at all, and haven't for the entire relationship, even though I get my share of interest.Typical abusive cycle of behaviour.. Anyone who can be violent to you is not nice, end of, stop excusing his behaviour. I have tried to ditch him, but when he knows I'm in one of 'those moods' he won't meet me, and if I text him to say it's over he ignores the text. Eventually I go back on what I said and get a reply like 'what a surprise'. I don't know why I keep going back on it!He doesn't respect you, and you know that already.. Next time you text him to say it's over, delete his number and all other methods you have to contact him. It'll make it easier. Part of me wants to never see him again, part of me wants to see him right now. I just don't know what to do.You do know what you need to do, hence why you keep trying to break up with him. You know you need to break up with him and stay away from him.

PM me if you want to about this, it's not the best thing to talk about in detail on a public forum.

I kind of need some advice i'm currently doing a pre- degree foundation in art & design course which is very different and makes you more independant and ready for uni. I was hoping to go to uni next year 2012 but i didn't do well in my gcse's and i haven't got a gcse in maths or english and at my interview she said its going to limit your choices of which university you go to. I've looked at the entry requirements and i don't have none of them and i'm being realistic with myself. I've seen a college which does a full-time resit for gcse which i'm thinking about doing which means i would have to leave the foundation course then do it again next year .And being that i'm 20 i have to pay which is a lot but its something i want a career in. I haven't talked to them about it because i have to ring the college which does the resist programme tomorrow. i'm just so confused.

should i take/ resist my gcses or continue with the pre-degree in foundation art & design

Need some advice and support from others with horrible family members :(

Need some advice and support from others with horrible family members :(

I am so angry. My mum's cousin has "special needs" from when she was starved of oxygen at birth, but she's always just seemed a bit awkward and more like she just has a speech impediment and looks a bit different rather than having any learning difficulties or anything like that. She's always been able to get away with a lot and I've never really liked her, although I've never spent much time with her - I'm 17 and she's about 50.

My nan is celebrating her 82nd birthday today and although she's still so young at heart, her body's not too good, she's got heart failure and so many other problems and she's weak. Her sister (my great auntie) has Alzheimer's and doesn't have long left, and her husband who I absolutely adored, died when I was five. I'm worried about her lots because she's the last one of her sisters left and I worry about her and I love her to bits, she's the most amazing nan and I don't like my dad's side of the family at all, they hate my family and we have no contact with them.

My mum's cousin has been living alone for the first time while my great auntie is in the nursing home where she will basically die she's been offered so much help from other family members and outside agencies, and has accepted it for a while but then completely rejected it when they say the smallest thing she doesn't like or have the audacity to suggest she learns how to handle money better. She gets benefits, but wastes them all - rather than accepting the help she's been given with learning to cook, she spends it all on huge meals from takeaways every day, drinks nothing but diet coke, goes out and gets her hair done constantly, constant bus journeys to see this mysterious boyfriend she claims she has, when there have been constant contrasting stories of who he is and where he lives, and that he keeps giving her gifts and paying for things. She has now taken to borrowing - and sometimes stealing - money from my nan, who isn't badly off but as if that makes it any more acceptable. My nan hates saying no, especially when my mum's cousin has always been so spoilt and dependent on getting money from other people, so she gets conned time and time again into giving money which, rather than my mum's cousin going to the shops and buying easy microwave meals or stuff to make sandwiches that will last her for days, she wastes it on perfume and jewellery and McDonalds every day.

She's now refused all help from people but is more than happy to keep stealing from my nan, and she keeps guilt-tripping her by saying she's been to visit her mum in the home and that her mum keeps asking where my nan is and saying how disappointed she is that my nan didn't visit that day. My nan visits as often as she can but relies on the bus because she can't drive, we live over a hundred miles away and my other family members are either ignorant and can't be bothered unless it benefits them in some way, or have work commitments and can't get there. My great auntie doesn't recognize or remember anyone, so these stories my mum's cousin keeps saying are complete bull, designed to guilt trip my nan.

It's my nan's 82nd birthday today so as you can imagine she's quite frail and worries easily, especially about my mum's cousin, who's always been seen as "special" because of her learning difficulties - which has basically been described to me as being quite emotionally stunted, and symptoms similar to incredibly mild Down's syndrome - so anything she does can automatically be excused. Last night, she got a text off my mum's cousin saying "Bye Aunty _____ (don't want to post my nan's name sorry), I'm going to commit suicide because I have no money". Of course, she panicked and stayed up all night, texting my mum's cousin about possible solutions, including asking my auntie if my auntie will buy the bureau promised to her in my great auntie's Will, rather than inheriting it. She didn't get any reply, but today my mum's cousin turned up and didn't even apologize or acknowledge the text until she asked my nan how she slept, and my nan said she didn't because of the text, and then she just said "oh" and carried on with what she was doing. Apparently she gets benefits every three weeks - which my mum doesn't believe because benefits are paid every two weeks or every week, aren't they?

Anyway, as she was leaving, my nan walked her to the bus stop - bear in mind she has arthritis and cannot walk very well at all, and the bus stop is a fair walk away - and she turned around and asked my nan, "So you're going to lend me money, right?".

I'm sorry for the really long rant, I'm just absolutely fuming at how this evil cow can play mind games with my nan, who's incredibly vulnerable and really is too nice to even consider saying no - although I believe she's coming to the end of her tether. I hate how she can do all these things and yet never get reprimanded, and blame it on her "illnesses" and get away with it. Not every person with special needs is a controlling, evil, greedy b****, so she can't blame it on that, I honestly believe she is just by nature one of the worst people you will ever come across. I wish we could pick and choose our family like we can our friends

As I said, sorry about this long rant. TL;DR - Mum's cousin is a nasty cow and one of the only people on earth whom I feel we would be better off if she was dead. I just need somewhere to vent this all out because I am fuming.

Study abroad in Hong Kong! any advice / need help

Discussion of the universities, colleges and courses outside the United Kingdom. Old 57 Minutes ago: 19 August 2011 02: 29 spawn606 0   study abroad in Hong Kong! Greetings

Sorry for any spelling its a bit late!

Old49 Minutes ago: 19 August 2011 02: 38 Re: study abroad in Hong Kong! Advice / need some help I was born in Hong Kong, so I hope I can have a little advice I think type.

Love Hong Kong, it is a life-time experience a really large one-time. Getting on with people at all no problem, and most are people in Hong Kong, to speak English. You can just say, it's like Chinese, but most of the places are sure that the mother tongue is Quebec, in English and pretty much speaks perfectly great English almost everyone in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is very international, I have many friends there, the European / Canadian who was the secondary school and made many friends and some of them speak not Chinese, so I'm sure that you get on fine.

Transport in Hong Kong is extremely decent unlike in the United Kingdom, so that delays with the buses or trains there fear not. The food is great, try out the Dim sum you will miss it otherwise:sexface:

I hope you enjoy your stay in Hong Kong. Good luck!

Can I please have some advice?

Can I please have some advice?

Discussion for all types of Scottish exams. Old 9 Minutes ago: 5. August 2011 13: 17 ThatBeatonBoy +1   can I have some advice please? Hello! I have my results yesterday (as I am sure, have most people in this part of the Forum) and got AACC. C in English and business studies are in modern studies and history, the ACE.

Is this order results in your opinion? I wanted some of University courses, which when searched, BBBB during the first session, and is I would like to know how much my grade helps me? UCAS underlines it averages at BBBB? It works like that?

Also, I was ladder perform Adv. history, ADV. modern studies and higher RMPS next year. I would be better more higher instead of ADV do?

Thank you for your time<3 xx="">

Music students, advice please.

Music students, advice please.

Music students, advice please. I'll be in my third year studying music now, and so I try, pieces select my dissertation (it's a 20-minute performance).
I'm kind of but firmly so that I am interested in for any help and ideas. I am a pianist.

I have two ideas are (because I they will be linked with some sort of theme): "Night" pieces (several Nocturnes and equally by various composers) or "Water" pieces.
Night pieces – is the thing that I have found that the most Nocturnes are very similar in mood and speed, and I obviously need a different program, so that the audience actually place to sleep are interested in.
So if someone, any pieces (preferably classical/romantic white) on the night, but a bit more lively / lute, related, that would help.

Water pieces - I have a similar problem. There are many Impressionist romantic pieces associated with water (Debussy, Ravel, etc.), but they are pretty quiet and "trickly" all and I can find nothing exciting/loud or living.

I know this may seem long and very specific, but any help would be really appreciated. Thank you very much

Fashion advice Maxi dresses

Fashion advice Maxi dresses

Really, I love the look of many of the Maxi dresses out there at the moment really. But I have worn in years for daily wear no clothes. I have only just got back in long skirts. I am not overly confident about clothes shopping and to know what works for me and my Bodyshape.

Really, I could buy, with my own personal GOK Wan with me go make.

So I'm quite short 5 "3"and "Pear shape" is my weight on my hips, thighs, and bum, but I have a good waist." Just a little bit of the stomach. (My breasts are not so big sensible) (32D/34 C depending on where I shop, and BH-style)... they are probably just a cup size or two below me is a perfect hourglass shape. The right gel/jump type BH could certainly create this image.

On this basis you think that I could get way, with a maxi dress wear? What kind of styles/pattern may match me? I think always things the more at the top, patterned figured then plainer and less patterned on my hips/bum/thighs... perhaps again at the bottom, but I'm really not sure.

Advice/suggestions please
