My 4 year old laptop has served me well, but I think now is the time for an upgrade. My budget is about 600-700 quid, and I'd it for game use as programming/simulation smaller for some work.

But I never a computer above have built, could you guys me hints about things started? (good websites, guides, etc.).

I would be very grateful, help!

To specify not, if you a desktop or laptop. Take IL desktop. For guided tours, I propose to overclockers.co.uk, that's where I have my parts and the Forum to help bought in the selection of parts for your budget a few nice people to help you.
