Would love to know why you think this?

If you think you will have less competition, especially for the harder there is strong evidence to suggest you are mistaken.

Prove he is wrong.

Show me evidence to suggest, other than this/next year, applications to university will rise (and rise in proportion to the costs, not rise because of external factors)

I have my reasons for this university and while im very interested and wish to work in accounts i do not feel the need to be the best of the best at the top companys. I know i will be satisfied with my degree and do not think anyone who studied some where else is any better than me but if thats what employers think.... but then again the university i do want to go to has one of the highest rates of employment after graduating for all subjects even if its not in some 100k p/a job im happy with 20-30k p/a :P

Us irish people arent picky we just need enough to buy our drink at the end of the day!

I dont understand what you're talking about in this thread. The 9k fees are in England. You say you are Irish, if youre a citizen of the Republic Ireland and go to a university there, it is either free or relative low fees(im not sure).
If you are living in Northern Ireland, and you go a university in NI, you pay roughly £3500 per year.

How do the £9000 fees affect you? You must be choosing to study in England?

( they dont do it in ireland ) so id rather be doing the course that i want then something i dont and racking up debt anyway !

so is every course 9k ? or is that just the maximum amount ? fees in ireland are going up too everywhere is .. we are just lucky it isnt like the US

Do you live in Northern Ireland or the Republic?

Couldnt you get an equivalent qualification for free in from a university Ireland?
