Very mainstream/commercial, only there for the money. Some artists even admit that in interviews.

But I guess when you're small your tastes are less specific and you probably just haven't been exposed to that many different styles/genres yet.

To be honest I find myself pretty unaware of what's even in them at all these days, since I barely use the TV/radio and actively seek out the music I prefer online.
